what's laughable is that people even feel the need to be dominated in games(i.e. they apply to LBSRA)

a friend of mine told me about the "we judge your character(personality)" part and I had to laugh

all in all though 400k is not too high a price when it's guarenteed lagit and gives you back 48 hours of so of your life, but yes you would have to actually play to get the 400k. not even going to consider the ebayers

Let's see who has that sort of money:

1) People who played the game before and farmed alot. As a result they made friends, maybe joined a guild. And overall, they KNOW how to play this game. Result, this category will not accept an overpriced "tour" like that, IMO

2) New players who bought money with hard cash (ebay, etc). IMO if they pay for this service they miss everything what makes the PvE part intresting and worth playing. IMO this is just like a winning maraton by getting to the finish line by car... has no sense. So even if these people will pay, they'll either leave the pve part after some days, weeks of playing because they`ll have no fun in it or they'll smack their ead against the wall when they realise what a waiste of money it was.

Other solutions: use diffrent runners to reduce cost.
Ascalon - Beacons (can be split in more steps, like Asc - Piken, Piken - Yaks, Yaks - Beacon), total cost between 2-5k. Becaons - Droknars run is between 3 and 10k depending on how patient you are, you might get it for free.
Total cost to get to droknars till now doesn't exceed 20k.

For 300-1000 you can get to LA. From LA to ToA same price, 1k being the upper limit.

From toa to Sanctum Cay you can be charged between 1 and 3k. Cay mission run is like 1k.

And your in Amnoon Oasis.

Till now, you have Droknars and Oasis all for like let's see, a 25k total expense.

Now, you need to get to Augury. I don't know how much this might cost, but let's assume 5k max price. From augury for another 5k you can be ran to all places in the desert, you might get everything for as low as 1k, depending on the greed of the runners.

Till now, having every place in the desert along with droks and you spend like MAX 35k.

Thirsty being the hardest mission to run, it will cost you like 5k. The remaing 2 will cost you MAX 5 all together.

Let's see now... You can now try and ascend for a total cost of 45k (upper limit). If your smart, lucky, know how to negociate, you can spend maybe 20k less.

Let's assume the everything you've done till now is only HALF of the so called "world tour". How much did you save? Like 155k? You can spend now 20k on a droknars armor (buying everything from mechant).

If you have time to spend testing your new armor, you can level up and try beat your dop. If you are building a mo/* for farming, you can beat dopey at lvl 7 without problem having the right skills. Just do a search to see the most effective way to beat your dop with diffrent professions. And since you probably stopped in many places with skill trainers, you can buy the skills for cash (Ascalon, Yaks, LA, Fishermans, Amnoon, Droks, Camp Rankor).

If you manage to ascend.... weee... quantum leap in XP. 50.000 XP power level you quite good. You should be between lvl 14-17 now.
From this point on, you can go and do the easiset missions and the quest with high XP. Also, do the sardelac, yaks "skill reward" quests to have some skills you can use.

I`m too lazy to type prices and stuff for the part that concerns post Droknars, but for like 20-25k you can get to all places in shiverpeak, and also get to the ring of fire, become lvl 20, etc...

So this whole "world tour" (in case you pay it) is a big ***** IMO.

EDIT: i know what i typed I've seen that it's a marketing strategy (offering the service for free) of the OP. I`m only expressing my opinion regarding the usual price.
wow. Someone tries to do something extremely nice and people still flame it!!! As said a million times in numerous threads on guru, If you dont like the price, DONT GO...What you wrote here thunderpower has been written by everyone and their mother already. just let it go....

This is awfully nice of you. I'd like to sign up my Monk from Ascalon. My classes severly interfear with my play time during the week, so I'm free on weekends. My Monks in-game-name is Armagedon Flame.

For your below post Mason, I'm only not free on the 10th and 19th of March. Also like i said, my classes and social life dont let me get very free untill late, and i dont think i can play that long that late, especially on the week days, so id really apperciate it, if you pick me that is, that you dont schedual on a weekday. And if you do, i'll deal with it, no big deal

My mesmer (IGN Mesmerizing Chic) would be interested in starting from Ascalon.

Friday 4pm-whenever
Saturday whenever
Sunday whenever

Eastern Time

If it helps me get picked, I could get a run to one of the other locations prior to your run if the ascalon portion is full.

thunderpower is not flaming, he is merely expressing his opinions regarding the "usual" price of 400K, which he finds to be extremely expensive, in which I must agree with.

If the 400K would consists of completing every single mission in Guild Wars, that I can accept, but the OP stated

"Reach every town and mission up to Thunderhead Keep"

Notice the word "Reach", it is not

"Reach every town and complete every mission in Guild Wars"

If the OP's original statement was the above, then I believe the "usual" cost of 400K would be somewhat justified, but in my opinion would be still a bit tad expensive.

Agreed, I wouldn't be able to afford the 400k myself, and I'm surprised you could charge that much, because I doubt there are very many in all of GW who COULD. I would take you up on your offer, but (thankfully) I don't need to, since I have the advantage that I can actually run myself . That makes for a 400k reduction in cost when one of my accounts can run the other . Anyway, good luck with the run...

Okay this is much better heh. When I posted this free tour in my actual running thread no one saw it. I'm glad to see people finally taking advantage of it. Anyone else can still get a chance at the run simply by posting. Keep in mind, I will select the winners entirely at random. So the more people that try to go for this, the less likely everyone individually will be picked.

As for the criticism:
This isn't the place for it, and I won't address it. This is for people who would like a Free World Tour. I don't see why anyone has a problem with this event. My prices should not be discussed here.

This run will somewhat benefit myself, granted. In the form of positive feedback, but that's only if I do a good job. I could receive negative feedback. I am confident and this is a way for myself to become more known, and do something nice for a group of people. Oh and to clarify a question or some confusion. I am an officer of LBS.

This will definitely take place next weekend (Fri, Sat, or Sun.) Re-edit your posts to specify which days you can make, and which times. I'll try to choose the day that the most people can make.

I'll answer anymore questions about the World Tour here by re-editing the post. Take the flaming elsewhere. Appreciate it.

This is not a problem. If some of the winners (remember it is completely random) are outside the U.S., we will be utilizing the International districts. Plain and simple.

Looks like only one person has re-edited their posts to specify when exactly they can come.
Bump for a reminder: edit your posts so I can know when the best day to do this for everyone is.

OK, being a graduate of the LBSRA I know the exact same as the rest of us what it is like to be flamed for our prices. This is NOT the place to do it. If you don't want to pay our prices for the best and most gurnateed run then don't, but if people keep paying, the prices stay the same.
